Hi There 'n Welcome!

We are Samnang 'n James!  It our pleasure to introduce to you Lucky Pride Designs!  You can read more about us, the origins of the brand name, etc. in the "Hi There" section.

In short, we are a same-sex, interracial husband duo that struggled to discover any LGBTQIA+ inspired formalwear for weddings.

So, if you are visiting us because you are in search of LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear 'n you could not find anything until you saw our LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear on one of the social media platforms, then we feel you are truly
LUCKY because you are not alone.

As early as May 2004, individual States ‘n Territories of the United States have permitted same-sex couples to wed.  Same-sex marriage became legal in the U.S.A. on June 26, 2015, after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down all state bans on same-sex marriage.  The year is now 2022/2023 ‘n the LGBTQIA+ community still struggles with LGBTQIA+ inspired formalwear…why?!  The country has made great efforts moving to equality, but there is still area for improvement.

After joining a dozen social media groups during the planning phase of our own wedding celebration, it was immediately clear LGBTQIA+ inspired formalwear does not readily exist for the LGBTQIA+ community ‘n its allies.  One of the first posts upon being granted access to the group’s posts was about ‘where does one go for gay pride suits without it looking distasteful.  Frustration brewed internally to the point a dream one of us had was the tipping point of change.   That dream was of our wedding day 'n we were wearing fabulous, matching LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding suits ‘n shoes.

Renewed excitement brewed the following morning.  That dream motivated us to stop waiting on others to produce the wedding attire products for the LGBTQIA+ community.  The images ‘n videos you may have seen on social media are a result of that dream.  From brainchild to revealing the original design ‘n prototype –
the Alliduck – at our wedding celebration with family ‘n friends was no small feat.  However, it was important to us that our family ‘n friends see what all the hype was about prior to showcasing the product to the rest of the world.

We would love the opportunity to turn our initial suit design ('n future designs that are mentally backlogged) from prototype ('n concepts) to production that would hopefully transform the wedding industry with LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear.  However, we do not have the financial wealth without crowdfunding donations.  Our preliminary funding goal is $50,000 USD.  Funds received from the crowdfunding campaign(s) would be spent securing quality materials at wholesale prices for the entire look (head to toe), hiring experienced garment-makers to perform bespoke tailoring, ‘n covering fees related to marketing, storage, shipping, etc. without the middle person mark up.  For transparency, our formalwear 'n formal shoes was $12,000 USD ($6,000 USD per person) prior to discount negotiations.

Our immediate phase one goal is to secure capital in order to produce ‘n market bespoke LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear, like the Alliduck, to the LGBTQIA+ wedding community ‘n its allies.

Once sustainable, we would shift to a phase two goal – produce ‘n market LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear in standard clothing sizes.

The third phase would be to produce ‘n market LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear in standard clothing sizes for rental use (i.e., prom, etc.).

The risks ‘n challenges of this endeavor are competition from existing clothing 'n tailoring companies that have capital to squash startup companies by creating similar or identical LGBTQIA+ wedding formalwear products (even though they have had years to have an inclusive market, remember same-sex marriage have been legal by states 'n territories since 2004 ‘n federally since 2015).  To counter this risk ‘n challenge, we feel we are unique in that we are members of the LGBTQIA+ community ourselves.  It was evident when searching the post of social media groups that a percentage of LGBTQIA+ members prefer supporting a LGBTQIA+ owned business.  Additionally, our target market is the LGBTQIA+ wedding community ‘n its allies.  We do not care to step on the heels of established clothing 'n tailoring companies as our wedding attire will always incorporate the LGBTQIA+ colors in some way.

We understand some people just cannot contribute or place an order for LGBTQIA+ inspired wedding formalwear.  However, there are other ways those individuals can contribute.  Get the word out about us.  Share our information with social networks.  Make noise about Lucky Pride Designs.

If you would like to contribute, then please visit our
crowdfunding campaign.

Thank you, in advance!

Warmest love, Samnang ‘n James
